BEA was established in 2011 as a not-for-profit, voluntarily-run organization to work for Bihar for Economic Empowerment of youth and Women through Entrepreneurship. In eleven years, it has conducted over 1.5 lac Direct Interactions with Youth through 90 plus district level Start Up Yatras (a chain of workshops at grass- root level run like a Campaign from 2013) highlighting Innovation & Incubation. Now, it has more than 20 thousand members. For the Government of Bihar, BEA drafted the Startup Policy in 2015.
It’s Incubation cum Business Support Centre Enterprising Zone, is in 7000 sqft area and is recognized and funded by Govt of Bihar, NITI Aayog, Startup India, DPIIT, Govt of India, Foreign Govt., Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Govt. of India and Ministry of MSME, Govt of India. We are also a Business Facilitation Centre with strong Market research, credit and market linkages for entrepreneurs and also for NRIs and foreign investors. We are also constructing our own building, Entrepreneurs building- Udyami Bhawan, by raising funds and donations.
Apart from 60 summits and 400 workshops in Eleven years, BEA has organized nine annual Bihar Entrepreneurship Summit (BES), which is the biggest event in Eastern India, Global Summits (for bringing investment and branding Bihar), Pravasi Sammelan, Udyog Samwad, IT Startup Meets and Banking Summits with the government attended by Hon. Chief Minister, the Governor, Union Ministers, Ambassadors and thousands of global experts. Many times, our work has been appreciated by NITI Aayog. BEA also has AI Centre of Excellence at its centre established in 2019 to inculcate Emerging technologies in Agriculture, Health, Education and Governance.
To increase Farmers income, we started “Krishi Samwad-Progressive Farmers to Agripreneurs” for farmers, FPOs, youth to help them become Agripreneurs,covering all districts of Bihar, UP and Jharkhand. We have covered 25 districts till now.
The US Ambassador and many other India Ambassadors from Argentina, Mauritius etc. have visited the BEA office and appreciated our work at grassroot level. BEA has also been invited by Govt of China, Govt of Israel, Govt of Turkey, US Dept. of State, Taiwan to name a few to present their work on Entrepreneurship, Trade and Investment.

Bihar Entrepreneurship Summit BES was started in 2014 when StartUp Yatra was initiated in all 38 districts, in 2015 and 2017 was inaugurated by the Chief Minister where he launched the StartUp Expo and StartUp Policy, BES in 2018 was inaugurated by the Governor of Bihar, BES in 2022 was inaugurated by Hon Minister of Industries and Hon Minister of Building Construction and the Chief Guest was Hon Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Guest of Honor was Chairperson, National Commission for Women, Govt of India and Special Secretary and Financial Advisor, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Govt of India.
Academicians and Experts from Harvard, MIT, Senior Economist from World Bank, Several Ambassadors, CEOs, Foreign delegates like Global Director-IBM, Director-ILO have joined BES in the past. It has been a globally recognized event on entrepreneurship focusing on Agriculture, Healthcare, Logistics and Education involving youth and StartUps. We are organizing this in partnership with 30 National & International partners, Govt. organizations and Institutions. All BES has been well covered by all major media houses.
With immense pleasure, we would like to inform you that 10th Bihar Entrepreneurship Summit will be organized on 21st March 2023 at Gyan Bhawan, Patna. The full day event will have 1000 participants, awards from all the districts and sessions on Agritech, Healthtech, Edutech & Technologies for development.
A total sum of 1.76 crore sanctioned by three ministries of Government of India will be given to 11 startups at the summit.
Also, there will be focus on Climate Smart Agriculture, Farmer Producer Organizations FPOs and Exports. Startup India, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt of India, Ministry of Micro., Small & Medium Enterprises, Govt. of India, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Govt of India, NABARD, ICAR-ATARI, KVKs, Banks along with various other stakeholders will partner in the summit. We are an organisation working at the ground level and have worked in creating enterprises by youth, farmers including Women, SC./ST, Differently abled and Transgender.
